Gratitude Garden

Gratitude Garden ("the App") is a gratitude journaling app that helps you build a daily gratitude practice, with an optional focus feature that can pause access to distracting apps until you've written your entry, and gentle daily reminders. This policy explains what the App accesses, how that information is used, and what we do — and don't do — with it.
Your journal entries are yours. They are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud, synced privately through your own Apple account — we never read, see, or store the content of your entries. The only information that leaves your device is the limited data needed to run subscriptions and to keep the App stable, described below.
We do not collect, sell, or share:
Everything you write in Gratitude Garden — your entries, streaks, and the plants in your garden — is created and stored locally on your device. This content is never uploaded to our servers, and we have no way to access it.
If you use iCloud, the App can sync your entries across your own Apple devices so your garden follows you from iPhone to iPad. This sync happens entirely through your private iCloud account and is handled and encrypted by Apple. Your entries are not sent to us, and we cannot read them. You can turn iCloud sync on or off for the App at any time in your device's iCloud settings.
Gratitude Garden includes an optional focus feature that can temporarily restrict access to apps you choose until you've completed your gratitude entry. This is built on Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework and runs entirely on your device.
When you pick apps to block, Apple represents your choices as opaque, anonymized tokens — the App never learns the real names of the apps you selected, and this information is never transmitted anywhere. Nothing about your Screen Time activity or app usage is collected by us.
You can revoke the App's Screen Time access at any time in Settings → Screen Time on your iPhone.
With your permission, the App sends local reminders to prompt your daily gratitude practice. These reminders are generated on your device — we do not use a remote push service to track or profile you. You control whether reminders are on and when they arrive, and you can change or disable them at any time in the App or in Settings → Notifications.
To keep the App reliable, we use a third-party analytics and crash-reporting service that records anonymous, aggregated information — such as which features are used, general device and app-version details, and diagnostic data when the App crashes. This information is not tied to your identity and cannot be used to read your journal entries.
This data is used only to understand aggregate usage and to find and fix bugs. It is never used to advertise to you and is not sold to anyone.
Gratitude Garden offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never receive or store your payment card details.
To unlock features and manage your subscription, we use RevenueCat, Inc., a third-party service that records purchase events. For this purpose, RevenueCat and Apple may process a randomly generated app-user identifier, your subscription and purchase history, and basic device and country information.
This data is used only to deliver and validate your subscription, prevent fraud, and understand aggregate purchase trends. It is never used to advertise to you and is not sold to anyone. You can review Apple's and RevenueCat's own privacy practices in their respective privacy policies.
The App relies on a small number of third-party services, used only to operate and maintain it:
The App contains no advertising networks and no other third-party tracking SDKs beyond what is described above.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete the limited data associated with your purchases or analytics. Because that data is tied to an anonymous identifier rather than your identity, please contact us at hello@bentested.com and we will help you exercise those rights.
Gratitude Garden is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be reflected with a revised "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, you can reach us at hello@bentested.com.

By downloading or using Gratitude Garden ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
Gratitude Garden is licensed to you for your personal use to build and maintain your own gratitude practice. The entries you write are yours.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
Gratitude Garden offers auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock the App's features:
Prices are shown in your local currency, may vary by region, and may change over time in accordance with App Store rules.
The App includes an optional focus feature that, using Apple's Screen Time, can temporarily restrict access to apps you select until you complete your gratitude entry. You choose which apps to include and when this feature is active, and you are responsible for your own configuration.
You should not rely on this feature to block access to apps or functions you may need in an emergency or for any safety-critical purpose. We are not liable for any consequences of apps being restricted while the feature is active, including any inability to access an app when you wanted or needed it.
Gratitude Garden is designed to support a general gratitude and mindfulness practice. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional.
If you are experiencing distress or a mental health crisis, please seek help from a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
All rights, title, and interest in and to the App — including its design, code, graphics, and branding — are owned by the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal Apple device in accordance with these terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
You retain full ownership of all journal entries and other content you create with Gratitude Garden. We do not access, collect, or claim any rights over your entries. Your content stays on your device (and, if you enable it, within your own private iCloud account) unless you choose to share it.
Gratitude Garden is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose.
We are not responsible for any loss of journal entries, data corruption, or device issues arising from use of the App. We recommend keeping iCloud sync enabled and maintaining your own device backups to protect your entries.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
These Terms are between you and the developer of Gratitude Garden, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such changes.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, the revised date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Tennessee.
If you have questions about these Terms and Conditions, please contact us at hello@bentested.com.
